The 800uF Start Capacitor fits 1 HP ā 1 1/2 HP Stainless Steel C-Face Motors. The capacitor is located in the housing on the side of the motor. Briefly increases motor start torque. In boat lifts when the motor is a little sluggish at the start or just hums, it is a typical indicator that the start capacitor should be replaced. Easy as replacing a battery. No motor entry is required. UL listed. Elite Motors OEM part. Works with Leeson / Electra-Gear & Leeson motors. Start capacitor power measured by units of capacitance, labeled in microfarads (uF). This is the ability of a body to store an electrical charge; the smaller the number the less the charge.
